Located on the outskirts of the English county of Suffolk, the unique and historic market town of Newark is known globally as the birthplace of thoroughbred horse racing. Born three and a half centuries ago, the 'Sport of Kings' is lived and breathed on every street corner here. There are more racehorses, trainers, stable staff, stud farms and racing organisation in and around Newark than in any other town throughout the world. It is a real treasure trove of sights and sounds for the racing enthusiast.
The palatial private property which features in this project is located 65 miles north of London in the horse racing town and highlights how UFO's fibre optic lighting products can be used on a grand scale.
In the indoor pool, our large submersible eyeball fittings are used to provide marker lighting on the steps that lead into the water and on the pool walls, whilst our small submersible eyeball fittings line the interior walls of the jacuzzi. The sealed nature of the fittings provides maximum protection against water ingress and so is ideal for use in this instance.
Elsewhere our trumpet style fittings have been installed in the impressive fountain that can be found in the grounds of the property. The small surface mountable fittings can be tilted and rotated to focus the light where it is needed most.
The fittings, which are manufactured from stainless steel to prevent corrosion occurring, are completely safe to use underwater as no heat or electricity is present in the delivery points. Electricity is instead retained in the metal halide light sources that are stored well away from the wet areas, thus reducing inconvenience and maintenance costs as water from the pool, Jacuzzi and fountain doesn't need to be drained in order to effect a lamp change.
